In the future, construction vehicles will
be intelligent

Bosch at bauma 2016, April 11-17

Bosch is opening up new possibilities for construction machinery and
commercial vehicles. Thanks to automation and connectivity features,
construction vehicles will be safer, more efficient, and easier to operate in the future.

A construction site revolution
The driver's workplace of the future

Anyone who has ever stood next to large construction machinery will have noticed that such equipment calls for great skill and precision. Delays resulting from breakdowns, not to mention accidents, cost time and therefore money. As a systems provider, Bosch will demonstrate how construction vehicles can become even more efficient through connectivity, automation, and electrification at bauma 2016 in Munich.

For Bosch, a main point of focus is the driver's workplace of the future. The connected cab offers greater convenience, a better overall view, and therefore greater safety. Using cameras and environmental sensors, drivers can monitor their surroundings and intuitively control vehicle functions via HMI display and joystick. The potential for efficient systems integration is demonstrated by the award-winning Genius CAB concept created as part of the joint Concept Cab Cluster project. Come see for yourself at the bauma trade show!

  • The direct wiper drive provides optimal wiping performance and excellent visibility in all conditions.
  • The side-view mirror replacement displays offer a digital over-the-shoulder view and a better overall view.
  • Ultrasonic sensors provide complete all-around vision and thus greater control.
  • The DI4-mid display and terminal serve as a universal user interface.
  • The 4THE5 joystick for convenient, precise control of the vehicle and vehicle functions.
