Drives and control units

Long standing experties and knowledge of global requirements allows Bosch to offer powertrain solutions for electric two-wheeler, proven in the market.

In-hub drive unit

In-hub drive unit for easy installation in combination with conventional wheel mounting and suspension systems for power outputs of 0.4 to 3 kW. The strong torque provides dynamic acceleration and ensures plenty of fun while riding.

Drive control unit

The drive control unit not only ensures optimal engine response and power delivery - it is also conformant with ISO 26262 and OBD, and features enhanced heat protection and many more functions.

Integrated electric drive

Integrated electric drive is a 2 in 1 central drive solution from Bosch combining a drive control unit and motor in one assembly. The integrated design allows less system complexity and the reduction of AC connectors and wiring. Further due to the compact architecture more flexibility for vehicle and battery design is given.

Vehicle control unit

The vehicle control unit functions as a central control unit for the powertrain and vehicle functionalities like torque coordination, operation strategies, high-voltage and 48V coordination, charging control or on-board diagnosis. Additionally, developed with functional safety standard up to ASIL C and the possibilities of supporting updates over the air, the vehicle control unit is capable of handling future trends for electrified two-wheeler and powersports vehicles.
