In combination with effective temperature management, SCR-based exhaust-gas treatment can do even more to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. Bosch has developed an SCR technology called DI-SCR that uses a double injection of urea. With this system, a quantity of urea – the exact amount depends on the current driving situation – is injected into a catalytic converter situated close to the engine as well as into another catalytic converter located further away from the engine. DI-SCR helps vehicle manufacturers to also maintain compliance with emission requirements that are expected in the future.
High rate of nitrogen oxide reduction with lower AdBlue® consumption
significantly reduced NOx emissions shortly after engine start and also in low-load situations
of product maturity
of the individual components ensures reliability of the technology in use
Reduced ammonia input in the low-pressure exhaust gas recirculation
