Characteristics of the front radar sensor
How the front radar sensor works
The new front radar sensor detects objects and people quickly, precisely, and reliably thanks to its long detection range and outstanding angle separability, not to mention its wide field of view. The new chirp-sequence modulation feature improves the sensor’s perception through more precise reflections. This enables the sensor to detect objects’ positions, relative speeds, and directions of motion with extremely high precision. These properties make the radar sensor ideal for chaotic urban traffic, where multiple objects and people can be simultaneously detected, differentiated, and tracked before emergency braking is initiated as needed. Thanks to radar sensor technology, this also works in poor visibility. The front radar plus is also beneficial for driver assistance functions, and partially automated functions. Due to the sensor’s long detection range, these functions can be realized at speeds of up to 210 km/h. The sensor’s properties ensure greater safety, comfort and convenience when driving.
